Hashmasks is a new digital art project that consists of non-fungible tokens designed as unique part digital art / part digital collectible pieces. Each NFT possesses five basic characteristics — mask, character, eye colour, skin colour and item, all with varying degrees of rarity.
The project has raised an impressive 7,600 ETH (about $10 million) from the sale of more than 15,000 digital collectible cards. As of the time of writing this article, the project is close to selling out all of the Hashmask NFT cards.
The highest earning digital card is named after former United States President Donald Trump, selling for 97 ETH (approx $126,000 USD). The Hashmask was originally acquired for 0.1 ETH, meaning the collector has earned an astonishing 96,900% profit on their initial investment.
Collectors find out their Hashmask identity on 11th February, however each Hashmask is accumulating 10 NCT per day. It costs 1,830 NCT to facilitate a name change and each card must have a unique name.
